Karl Loren's Take On The 2004 Election

Bush vs. Kerry

Top

It has never been politically correct to "blame the public" for the state of the union.  We sometimes use the popular quote:  "we get exactly the government we deserve!"  That comes close to "blaming" the public for the sad state of our affairs.

But, generally whether a person is liberal or conservative, they play homage to the untruth that we are in a democracy and that the majority will always be "right."

This is a myth.  The majority generally vote to give themselves free handouts -- and democracies don't much "work" on this planet.  But, the alternative is worse!  So, we suffer the need to influence the masses, who vote in our democracy.  That "influence" depends on PR campaigns, not logic.

The elite liberals know that this is a myth, that the voters are "right," and allow its pretense while knowing that ONLY the elite can take responsibility for the masses of citizens and voters.

The conservatives are more likely to espouse personal responsibility among the citizens, but when it comes to acting in Congress they spend money just as wildly as do the liberals.  Every dollar spent on a "social program" is a dollar of decision taken away from the personal responsibility of the citizen.

So, what will happen in the upcoming contest between Bush and Kerry?

The primary truth to state, here, is that the issues and facts WILL NOT determine the outcome.

When a population has sunk to the level of illiteracy, drug addiction (street and medical) and immorality as is now true, that population loses its ability to use logic.  Of course it is NOT all the citizenry, but it is the citizenry that buys Janet Jackson's albums and watches MTV.  It is the group who still has the "right" to vote.

How is this group influenced?  By public relations activity, not intellectual discussion of the issues.  The more accurate word would be "manipulated!"  This group of unthinking, emotionally reacting voters, is manipulated, either skillfully or not.

The media is the master, the message, however, is still under the control of whoever has the skill and money to put that message out.

So, this election will be determined by the relative skill of the PR campaigns -- for only PR influences those who do not and cannot consider the issues on the basis of logic.

For instance, crude oil often gushes out of the ground in Saudi Arabia without drilling.  In many instances the problem there is how to PREVENT the oil from coming to the surface.  Crude must be collected, and transported, but there is no scarcity of crude on this planet -- contrary to PR claims.  If the PR is effective, crude oil is accepted as scarce, therefore its use must logically be governed by price.  Logically, you use high prices to allocate scarce resources.

The photo on the left is of the famous Spindletop Gusher that rather started the "oil rush."

The early oil barons understood that they could ONLY be rich if crude oil were "discovered" to be scarce.

If you doubt the emotional power of simple words, consider the use of the "N-Word" in any main stream media.  Politicians get kicked out of office for just using that word, 30 years earlier!

There is no scarcity of crude, so you might think that the price of crude should drop to a reasonable and competitive profit over costs of collection, transport and processing.  The PR campaign, including the entire environmental attack on pollution caused by gasoline has been just as effective as I know a good PR campaign can be.  (Further on this?  Click.)

The "tree huggers" are part of the manipulation -- it is done so well that they have no idea the part they are playing.  Here is a part of the proof that emotion rules and logic lurks in the hidden darkness.

If you were a tree hugger you would not have been attracted to this web site.

Taking a thief and thug, putting him in charge of the oil fields -- not too acceptable to the citizenry.  But, make that thug and thief the Head of a State and he can kill and rob at least his own people with impunity.  How many of our public are swayed by emotion, not logic, when it comes to the war on terror, or the ascendancy of the Saudi Princes.

What percentage of the world's population "believes in" the free lunch syndrome -- where free medical care is a right?

What number of our American workers believe that the government is responsible for getting them a job?

It is emotional reaction that rules the ballot box.  The biggest mistake I see conservative commentators doing is trying to use logic to persuade those who only emotion controls.

The liberals believe in their own illogic, their own lies, their own PR campaigns, so they promote this stuff with enthusiasm and clarity.

The Government Is Responsible For You Losing Your Job

To a voter who loses his job the illogical claim that he is not responsible is very effective.

The liberal believes this false claim, so promotes it with gusto.  The conservative is puzzled at why such a claim is believed, but if he is practical he caves in to the stupidity and spends the dollars to take the poor victim out of the gutter and give him what he has not earned.

Bush promoted the huge Medicare Reform Act, apparently to cost us some $500 billion, because he needed to use this illogical law to influence the masses who will vote, not on the logic of the issue, but the emotions of the moment.

Do you think those in the 20 - 30 age group vote with their brain?  They are too busy with "nocturnal emissions!"

Bush has made a political decision that he has to cater to the stupidity of the masses to retain his office and prevent the far worse harm that would be caused by the unprincipled Kerry (or any democrat).

Of these two evils, I think Kerry would be far worse for our nation.

Who will win this election?

That depends on who uses the most effective PR campaign.  Unfortunately those who plan PR campaigns believe that PR does not have to include truth as a component.  They don't realize that "eventually" their lies will backfire on them because they cannot see that far into the future.

The "Kerry Intern hiding in Kenya" is only a small part of what we will now see for the next several months.

Polier's Father Mr Polier: "I think he's [Kerry] a sleazeball. I did wonder if she didn't get that feeling herself. He's not the sort of guy I'd choose to be with my daughter. John Kerry called my daughter and invited her to be on his re-election committee. She talked to him and decided against it."

And:  The Drudge website also quoted retired Gen Wesley Clark, one of Mr Kerry's rivals for the nomination, as having told journalists off the record: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue."

Mr Kerry, married once before, was something of a playboy after his divorce, dating starlets Morgan Fairchild and Catherine Oxenberg.

Is it "unfair" to publish her picture, and pieces of this story?  Of course it is.  Is the "affair" true?  Probably not!

Will there be more of this kind of stuff?  Absolutely yes!

Will it be traceable to either Bush or Kerry?  Absolutely no!

Sadly enough the citizenry has fallen to a state where ONLY PR will influence them, and PR has fallen to a state where lies seem to work.

Is this a cynical view?  I don't think so. I think of it as a realistic look.

The "real issues" of the day are such as are described HERE.

The name of Dawood has not so far been mentioned as one of the underworld links of Dr Khan but the fact that Dubai was the main channel for leaking the N-technology and for sending out and receiving material surfaced quite early in the investigations about Dr Khan's activities.

When there are people who are consciously and actively plotting the violent destruction of our nation, and of many other nations, and who are quite willing to risk elimination of the planet as a place to live -- how can Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction be worthy of a minute of prime time, or the precious attention of millions of live beings -- currently to be labeled "stupids" but capable of rising to holy heights??

Is there any hope?

Yes!

The ONLY salvation for this poor planet is for INDIVIDUALS, not governments, to find a way to take honest responsibility for their fellows by advancing their own awareness of the truth, and helping their fellows also discover the truth.  The old saying is true: "I am not free until all are free!"

We can go on limping on the current sad state, but man has it in him to be great -- and free!  I am optimistic.

It doesn't work to force morals or truth onto someone.  They must choose these paths for themselves.  But, some of us can offer help.

The citizenry is suppressed by drugs, medical and street, terrible educational methods, free lunch syndrome and immorality.  Anyone who has, individually, risen to the awareness that these are the proper issues for action is part of the solution -- no matter how long it may take to implement.

More, perhaps, another day!

Bush will win despite the powerful, if false, PR campaign being run by the liberals, but it is part of the "game of politics" to make the race seem closer than it really is.

The Myth Of "Scarce" Crude Oil

Click here to read a bit about  Frederick Wohler.  His "discovery" of urea was revolutionary at the time, and prompted this:

"This organic synthesis dealt a severe blow to a widespread belief called "vitalism" which maintained that organic chemicals could be modified by chemistry but could only be produced through the agency of a vital force present in living plants and animals."

So, starting in the early 1800's the term "organic" began to shift in meaning -- the definition became much more vague than earlier when it simply meant "derived from something once alive."

In this sense, rocks were not considered organic even though they might, millions of years ago, have been trees -- now crushed and turned into rock.

In the mid 1800's crude oil was discovered.  David D. Rockefeller, Sr., recognized that crude oil did not LOOK like it was organic.  It came out of the ground in great quantities.  In those years there was a glut of too much crude oil and Rockefeller saw that the value of his crude oil reserves would fall unless, somehow, he made crude oil scarce.

One thing he did (very well known) was to establish his own monopoly for crude oil -- so he could keep the prices high artificially.

But, something else he did is not as well known.

He figured that if people regarded crude oil as "organic" (that is, derived from plants) they would think that there was a limited supply of the stuff on the planet and the value would go up.

He joined in the support for making "organic" mean "contains carbon" and since crude oil included a great deal of carbon he promoted the mixed message that "crude oil is organic -- and since everyone knows that organic means derived from plants, there must be a limited resource of this crude oil."

He then created an entire myth that crude oil was formed from dinosaurs and plants covered by earth and rocks -- millions of years ago.  I'll leave for another day the expose of that lie -- but consider the magnitude of the harm done to us by David D. Rockefeller, Sr.!!

So, even today, you can study "organic chemistry" in college -- the chemistry of substances containing carbon.

And, even today crude oil is considered valuable and scarce even though the amount of proven reserves has gone up every year for many decades.

In other words, there is no scarcity of crude oil, but the label of "organic" applied to crude oil has helped keep the price up.

Kerry Intern Hiding in Kenya

The Nation (Nairobi)

February 16, 2004
Posted to the web February 16, 2004

Nation Reporter And Agencies
Nairobi

The young intern at the centre of a furore involving United States presidential hopeful John Kerry is hiding out in Kenya.

Alex Polier, 24, has been in the country for the past few weeks visiting her fiancee, Mr Yaron Schwartzman, who works with FilmStudios, along Nairobi's Ngong Road.

Ms Polier, who could end Senator John Kerry's hopes of becoming the next president of the United States, is alleged to have had a two-year affair with the front-runner for the Democratic nomination.

"This is not going to go away," one American friend of Ms Polier said yesterday. "What actually happened is much nastier than is being reported."

The allegations come at a crucial time for the senator. Polls showed him leading Mr Bush by 52 per cent to 42 per cent, and aides will be anxious to see if the apparent scandal affects his standing among voters.

Ms Polier, a former intern who also spent some time in 1998 doing work experience at the Houses of Parliament in London, is in Kenya staying with Mr Schwartzman.

It was not immediately clear what Mr Schwartzman does at FilmStudios. Efforts to contact the family home in the leafy suburb of Lavington were fruitless.

Miss Polier and her fiance were believed to be hiding at the Nairobi home of Mr Schwartzman's parents, who moved to Kenya from Israel.

Mr Joseph Schwartzman is the chairman of the H Young group of companies. His wife, Hannah, is described by friends to be a devout Jew who was hoping to see her future daughter-in-law convert to Judaism before the wedding ceremony planned for some time later in the year.

The Nation has established, however, that the couple were students together at Columbia University in New York.

Both have refused to make any comment on her alleged links with Senator Kerry, who is married to Teresa Heinz Kerry, heiress to a food empire.

Senator Kerry, a decorated Vietnam veteran dubbed the new JFK, has vehemently denied any relationship with Miss Polier and shrugged off allegations that he had a two-year affair with her from 2001. He said: "I just deny it categorically. It's rumour. It's untrue. Period."

Mr Kerry flatly denied swirling rumours about an extramarital affair, assuring backers that his campaign was not vulnerable to a sudden sex scandal.

Mr Kerry, married once before, was something of a playboy after his divorce, dating starlets Morgan Fairchild and Catherine Oxenberg.

Mrs Heinz-Kerry, who has been a fixture on the campaign trail, is no shrinking violet. She once told a writer for Elle magazine that she would jokingly warn her first husband that if he ever strayed, "I'll maim you. Not kill you, just maim you."

Mr Kerry, 60, has won 12 out of the 14 Democratic primaries and has looked all but certain to seal the nomination to take on President George W. Bush in November's elections.

His aides have blamed a dirty tricks campaign for bringing the allegations about Miss Polier into the public eye; they first surfaced last week on a right-wing internet site, the Drudge Report, which famously first broke the news of Bill Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Ms Polier's parents, Terry and Donna, from Malvern, Pennsylvania, added fuel to the fire by claiming that Mr Kerry did pursue their daughter.

Said Mr Polier: "I think he's a sleazeball. I did wonder if she didn't get that feeling herself. He's not the sort of guy I'd choose to be with my daughter. John Kerry called my daughter and invited her to be on his re-election committee. She talked to him and decided against it."

The Drudge website also quoted retired Gen Wesley Clark, one of Mr Kerry's rivals for the nomination, as having told journalists off the record: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue."

Mr Clark later dropped out of the race and endorsed Mr Kerry.

Miss Polier, a journalist who once worked for Associated Press, apparently met the senator as she was beginning her media career.
